How to play D&D Arena

D&D Arena is a non-custodial, on-chain battle game on Base. You forge a Dungeons & Dragons 5e hero and let an AI dungeon master run the fight — either against another player (PvP) or solo against AI monsters (PvE). Here is everything you need to start.

1. Connect a Base wallet

Open app.dnd-arena.com in your browser and connect any Base-compatible wallet. You sign in with Ethereum (SIWE) — no password, no account, your wallet is your identity. Nothing is custodial: you approve every transaction yourself.

2. Get some $DND

$DND is the in-game token on Base. You can buy $DND on Uniswap. It is used to forge heroes, stake PvP duels and pay for PvE runs. Learn more on the $DND token page.

3. Forge your hero

Pay in $DND and an AI rolls you a full 5e character — race, class, subclass, ability scores, spells and gear — plus a unique painted portrait. You do not need to know the rules: the AI handles initiative, spell slots, concentration, conditions, saves and crits.

4. Choose your mode

PvP: stake $DND and challenge another player. Both bids lock in the smart contract, the AI resolves the duel round by round on a tactical grid, and the winner takes 99% of the pot — 1% is burned forever.

5. Fight, replay, collect

Every roll is deterministic and replayable on-chain — you can watch the whole battle back, position by position and die by die. Win a PvP duel and the pot pays out to your wallet; win a PvE fight and you roll a unique, AI-generated magic item to equip on your heroes.
